Description

While spending time outdoors, there are few items as essential as a quality tarp. The Super-6™, six-sided tarp provides significant advantages over square tarps. When used as a tent or canopy, the added tie points increase the stability exponentially. The hexagon shape offers more protective shelter along the sides. This tarp and pole set are ideal when you need a large, sturdy shelter, in a relatively light and compact package. Tall, 7.5 ft. poles provide stand up room underneath. The tarp is made with high-performance, Hydra-Shield™, 100% cotton canvas that is watertight and breathable. Included are tarp, poles, stakes, guy ropes, and a convenient carry bag.

Missing Bag

I know that it doesn't say that there is a bag included, so it is on me for not paying attention. But c'mon, at this price, one shouldn't have pole pieces, ropes and tarp just flopping around.

Tarp

Set up great. I ordered 2 extra awning poles so it would create more usable space with head room. Worked great. 4 stars only because I believe it should come standard with 4 poles.

Worth the wait

I was on a waiting list for when this tarp came back in stock, and it was worth the wait! I used it with my hammock setup on my camping trip, as rain was expected off/on, and my hammock tarp wanted to be a kite with the wind, so it was a perfect time to try out my Super 6! It was an easy set up for 1 person.

Super 6 Tarp

When I received this product I was so impressed by the top notch quality. The hydro shield material feels amazing and very durable. The poles and ropes are strong and well made. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars at this moment is that I have not set up the tarp outdoors yet and have not used it. After I use it on an upcoming December coming trip in Upstate NY I will amend this review. I expect in my next review I will give it 5 stars. This tarp is enormous and so well made. This is the first product I ordered from Kodiak after a lot of researching and I am very impressed. The delivery time was very fast which was a nice surprise. I cannot wait to use this tarp set up and I look forward to ordering additional products from Kodiak. Thank you for making such a high quality product that will last for many years to come of hard use.

Strong material helps keep water from getting on the tent during pack up and helps with the floor from any debris the floor liner plus trap help extended the tents life of us

Just received mine and spent a week turkey hunting and living out of this tent. Couldn’t be happier with it. High quality materials and plenty of space!

Far Exceeds My Expectations

I recently received my Kodiak Truck Tent for my 2021 Ram 1500 w/ 6'4 bed and I am beyond happy. The build quality on this tent is incredible. From the canvas itself to the zippers, this is made to last. So far I have only camped out in my driveway as a test in preparation for an upcoming camping trip. It was pouring rain one morning, and inside of the tent stayed completely dry. It was incredible. The tent was then dry by the evening, as it did an excellent job at repelling the rain. I would recommend adding a row of magnets to the sides of the tent, to help keep the extra fabric closest to the cab nice and tight. This will prevent any unwanted insects from getting in.

The actual width is narrower than the ends of the bed, but it is easy to put together and take apart. It helps to push the bars out, rather than pulling them out when you pack up. I use an extra wide mattress on top (similar to Nemo or Thermarest, on top, which nicely fits between the top and bottom bars, but allows you to use the entire width of the mattress and it doesn't slide sideways. Since I camp for a month at a time while volunteering, it is a wonderful cot for longterm camping outfits, so if you need to set it up every day in a new campsite, it isn't as handy as some of the other ones on the market that quickly fold up and out. Good quality. I am not using it as a double, and would caution that it might not be as stable when two beds are attached above each other, but as a single it is nice and sturdy
