While spending time outdoors, there are few items as essential as a quality tarp. The Super-6™, six-sided tarp provides significant advantages over square tarps. When used as a tent or canapé, the added tie points increase the stability exponentially. The hexagon shape offers more protective shelter along the sides. This tarp and pole set are ideal when you need a large, sturdy shelter, in a relatively light and compact package. Tall, 7.5 ft. poles provide stand up room underneath. The tarp is made with high-performance, Hydra-Shield™, 100% cotton canvas that is watertight and breathable. Included are tarp, poles, stakes, guy ropes, and a convenient carry bag.

I was on a waiting list for when this tarp came back in stock, and it was worth the wait! I used it with my hammock setup on my camping trip, as rain was expected off/on, and my hammock tarp wanted to be a kite with the wind, so it was a perfect time to try out my Super 6! It was an easy set up for 1 person.
Excellent quality. I am particularly impressed with the reinforcement of the corners and the sturdiness of the poles. I set it up by myself in minutes. Simple and substantial, it is for me a far better choice functionally and aesthetically than a pop-up canopy.
I received this product back in November (three days after ordering it online!), but I didn’t have a chance to take it out for an overnight until the day after Christmas. In the brown snowless hardwood forest of the upper Midwest it blended right in with its subdued gray-green color. Camping by myself it went up with ease by letting it drape over the table at the campsite. Everything is there: two upright poles, stakes, and the lines cut to length with locking clasps attached. As an addition I used the two awning poles from my 10X10 Flex-Bow Canvas Tent to lift one side for a better view of my campfire. The fabric is just the right weight, the seams are reinforced and substantial – everything fits in the included good-sized duffel. I had been looking for several months for a canvas camping tarp, but this is the first complete package I found that perfectly met my wants and needs. I saw their new product offering for this on Instagram and jumped right on it – so GLAD I did!
Fantastic Kodiak build as usual. Sturdy and built to last. I can set this shelter up by myself in minutes. This tarp is BIG, bigger than expected. You could set this up over a full size picnic table with plenty of room to spare (ice chests, gear, whatever). It's heavy tarp material that will block out hot the summer sun as well as rain or snow. I haven't had time to figure out how to keep the center taunt, but it should take much. Perhaps more practice with the guy lines. Great product, not for backpacking (wasn't made for that).
I received mine back on 11/4 and was hoping to use it this past weekend but our camping trip was cancelled. I've had it up in the yard just messing around and am happy with the purchase. The canvas material is heavy but completely blocks the sun and wind. I'm very impressed with the reinforcements made in the corners. It's packable enough to keep under the back seat of my truck so I can use it whenever and wherever.
I've been looking for a canvas "patrol" tarp and this is perfect. Quick to setup, good quality, and great coverage.
Super easy setup and built to last!!! I just received it today and only set it up in the back yard but I know this will be going on most adventures in the future. A great, fast shelter.
Tarp was quickly delivered and I immediately set it up in the backyard to review. I have a Flex-Bow tent so I'm familiar with Kodiak quality, tent has been out numerous times and I've seen others collapse in high winds and my tent is solid. The Super-6 seems just as durable at the Flex-Bow. The canvas is quality and the corners are well reinforced. I had the tarp up, by myself, in only a few minutes. Will try to add to this when I get it in the field and see how it does in the elements.
