A nice Inexpensive way to get a perfectly sized tarp to go under the tent. So many “footprint” tarps actually extend past the tent walls which is completely inappropriate. Thank you for a ground tarp that actually complies with “tent 101” protocols.
I purchased the ground tarp for the same size tent. Unless I did not face my tent the correct way, the ground tarp did not completely fit the tent. The ground tarp seemed to be smaller. Since this was my first time putting my tent up I could have made this mistake. *************** Ground tarps are intentionally made slightly smaller than the footprint of the tent. This is so water will not drain off the tent and hit the edge of the tarp--then collecting between the tarp and tent. Thanks for your review. Kodiak Canvas.
They do a good job keepings the moisture off the bottom of the tent. Great add on for the tent.
Tarp is a couple inches short so the loop holes do not line up to make the tent tight when it is standing. Unfortunate for a $40 tarp..... ***** Sam the tarp is shorter by design. This is so water that runs off the tent will run onto the ground instead of hitting the tarp and getting trapped in a water bubble between the tarp and floor of the tent. As per the instructions the loops are for convenience--and are not intended to line up with the tent loops.
Fits perfectly and easy to install!
Last night we spent the night in a downpour. I was so glad I decided to spend the money to get the ground tarp. It was a perfect fit, and I was able to stake it down with the tent. My buddy told me I was crazy for paying what I did for the ground tarp, saying that I could have saved a bunch of money going to Walmart. Funny thing is, that's what he did. He was to lazy to take the time to fold the tarp over to fit under his dome tent. Throughout the night the rain collected on the tarp and soaked the floor of his tent. I invited him into my bone dry Kodiak so he could get warmed up. Yeah it's maybe a little pricey for a "tarp" but wouldn't hesitate a second to buy it again. Perfect Fit and Highly recommended!!!!
