8.5’ x 6’ tent
Very cool little tent. Defiantly lighter and more compact than my trusty 10x10 flexbow. Set it up for the kids and they spent several nights in it before hosing it down and letting it dry to help shrink up the seams. Quick and easy set up so I plan on keeping it in the truck when I plan on mobile hunting trips. Solid construction and heavy duty like my other Kodiak Canvas products.

Great Tent!
I purchased this tent in July and have taken it out five times. It keeps me and my gear dry and comfortable. In temperate weather, the windows and doors provide a panoramic view. It is super easy to set up and take down. I love, love this tent!

Great Tent
I purchased this tent because two co-workers of mine have Kodiak tents as well. I have been hunting with one of them who has the 10x10 flex bow, and it was in some pretty cold snowy weather, and the tent worked great. Any way, I did not need one that big and they were sold out of the 9x8 that I wanted so I when't with the 8.5x6 since it would be just me and my son using it. Over all the tent is great, it holds heat well, and keeps you dry during wet weather, and to be honest, there is more room inside than I thought there would be so me and my son can keep our essentials inside so they stay dry. I only have two complaints, and they are it is only 4ft tall so you cant stand in it, and there is no awning for the door, so I rigged up my own and it worked pretty good. Over all it is a great tent and does exactly what I want it to do, and with proper care, it should last a very long time. The only reason I gave it 4 stars were the reasons stated above. I would recommend Kodiak Canvas tents to anyone looking for a great quality and well built tent.

FINALLY - 2 PERSON Tent Done Right!
I'm over the moon with this tent, and I own a bunch of high quality tents. First, you probably know that this isn't exactly a lightweight tent for backpacking. That said, if I am not directly carrying the weight (atv, car, sled, etx.), this tent is my first choice to take with. The canvas is warm and breathable while not letting in a drop of water in even harsh storms and there's no rain fly to mess around with. The VX design is something that I wish my 10'x14' Kodiak Canvas tent had, but it's in great shape still so I can't find a reason to replace it. Now, on to why I love this tent... I am a big guy (6'7" and 270lbs) and there is more than enough room for me and another person my size to sleep in the tent, with room over the head or foot for gear. Most 2 person tents are short in length and width and this tent solves both of those. Additionally, I love the fact that I can leave the windows open for really nice ventilation and if a surprise rain shower or gusting wind shows up, I don't even need to get out of the tent to make that a non-issue, like I would if I had a rain fly open (which in my case still doesnt seem to allow the airflow that this tent does with the windows open). Beyond that, this tent holds up REALLY well in wind and snow. No need to stake and tie guy out lines. Just set it up and there's no need to give another thought to taking care of your tent. Lastly, the thickness of the floor and the quality of the materials and sewing is top notch. I still use a footprint (a tarp) for its additional protection and other utility uses if needed, but the bottom of this tent will stand up to almost anything that wouldn't puncture skin. In short, if you want a tent that's good for any season, has room for real sized people, is easy to setup and use, can last a lifetime, and you're not needing to go ultralight, this is it!

8.5 x 6 VX Tent
Like every Kodiak tent top quality tent. I’m amazed at how well these are made and stand up the hard PNW rain. Always stays dry inside now matter how how much rain. This tent is the best size I have seen for a solo elk hunt. Plenty of room for me and my gear. By far my favorite tent of all time. Good job Kodiak!

I love this tent
I've had my kodiak tent for the last 6 or 7 months now. I've taken it to the mountains and deserts. It has served me well and I cannot say enough good things about the company. It's worth noting that the first tent the company sent me had a minor defect, but the company sent me a new one and haven't had any problems since. It's a wonderful tent.
