6170 Cabin Tent
Just received my tent last week and got it all set up this weekend. This is my first Kodiak Canvas tent and I am very pleased that I went with this tent. The lead time was a little longer then anticipated but so worth the wait. Set up was about 30 min and once the stove was installed the temp in the tent was over 70 degrees in about 20 minutes from starting the fire. Outside temp was about 30 degrees

Service and product
Firstly I have to thank each and every member of staff that handled my order. When I ordered the 12x12 lodge tent I was a bit nervous of the restocking date just two weeks before my annual hunt camp trip. That restocking was delayed by six days, and yet the staff turned my tent right around and shipped it all the way cross country in time to go into my truck and off to the woods. Set up was easy even though I left the manual on the counter with my topo map of hunt camp, and the tent housed three guys with full winter gear for one week as well as two dogs and the stove comfortably. Basically nothing went to plan with our fourth camper, they guy with the second tent, not able to show until day three. Yet, somehow, once the tent was pitched and the stove lit, everything felt as it should. A totally comfortable and peaceful week in the woods with my best friends and my dogs. As a side note, the quality zippers for the door are well made and manageable even for a 8 month old pup who learned to unzip the lower corner just enough to make a bolt hole for herself and her brother to sneak into the warm when the snow started. This tent will be on every yearly fall/winter camp from now on, and I will likely order the 8x8 extension vestibule for next year.

12x12 Cabin Lodge Tent with the 8x8 extension
Picked up this tent November 6, and set it up in my backyard altitude 5800' on Saturday November 7 before the storm that came in that night. Set this main tent up by myself in about 45 minutes then set up the 8x8 tent which was much harder by myself partly because of the wind blowing from the South. I bought a Winnerwell Nomad wood stove and put it in on an Amazon "fireproof" mat which was not fireproof and burned holes through the mat and tent. Kodiak was out of their fireproof mat. So far a week later everything is fine have cleaned off the top of the tent two times quality of the tent is excellent and well built. I like all the windows and places to put stuff in inside the tent.

12 X 12 Tent and vestibule
Used twice elk hunting in Wyoming this year. Had heavy rain early season and snow late. I am very happy with this tent and vestibule. One thing that I would recommend for vestibule is sewn in floor like tent with velcro at bottom to attach to tent. During heavy winds the debris and snow came in and it was really picking up on vestibule. But build quality and layout are awesome, no water came in tent. Also just used big buddy heater that kept tent comfortable in teens temps.

Very Happy
We picked this up for our company/family camping trip. I would have preferred "roughing it" but having to appease the fam, I settled on this. On out first excursion, we were camping in a quite severe outer reaches of a hurricane. The thunder, wind, and rain were nothing to scoff at. Other than a bear liberating our cooler of all orange blossom honey ham, apples, and pepperoni, right outside that little overhang you see on the picture; it was a great trip. (My fault for leaving food where a bear can get it...I know better!) This tent was worth every penny. The torrential downfalls were not even noticed inside the tent. Every single family around us had some sort of leakage or flooding inside their tent, except us (and the one nephew that was "roughing it" in his home made bivvy)! We have had several trips out with this tent, and I have been very pleased! I will be honest in that I am very disappointed that it has to be made in China. Each of my Companies respective brands pride themselves on supporting Small Business, Locally produced, and American Made! Yet, I could not find a product that was this well made within those parameters. Please, Kodiak Canvas! Please, find a way to make these in America! If you can't, let me help you find a way!

Winter storm Billy
Let me say first and foremost, thank you for building a strong and durable tent. My sons and I were on the very first hunting and camping trip using this magnificent piece of equipment with the addition of the vestibule as our base camp. We arrived in Western Oklahoma on a Thursday and we got everything up and secure in 75* weather by 1am the weather had shifted out of the north and temperatures dropped into the 20s by 6am This was unexpected but we were prepared. What we weren’t expecting was a week worth of 20* temps and winds approaching 25-30 mph all day every day and one night when the full force of Billy hit us with 45-60 mph winds and an ice storm that put an inch of ice over the entire tent. The tent held up with flying colors and we survived with some memories that will last forever. I can highly recommend this tent and vestibule as a go to in any conditions. The only mishaps were to the tent roof as with all the winds some embers escaped the stove pipe ember catch and burned two pinhole spots outside the protective spot. Highly recommended by myself and my sons. Thank you again for such a wonderful tent.
