10x10 Cabin Lodge Tent SR (Stove Ready)

$799.99

Description

Meet the newest member of the Kodiak Canvas's Stove Ready (SR) tents. The Cabin Lodge tent is where rugged meets refinement. Made with high performance, Hydra-Shield™, 100% cotton duck canvas. The tight weave and silicone finish make this canvas watertight yet breathable, minimizing condensation and mugginess that are common with synthetic tents. The sewn-in floor is a tough 13.5 oz vinyl with welded seams, that keeps water out. The tall ceiling (7.5 ft. at peak) and vertical wall design (4 ft. at sides) provide a roomy interior with stand-up, walk-around comfort. The large front door means no crouching when you come and go. Six large windows provide openness, and excellent airflow. Windows can be opened and closed from inside the tent, and feature no-see-um, screen mesh that keeps the smallest bugs out. A covered storm window and vents can be opened to circulate outside air, even when rainy. The door and windows feature top-rated YKK zippers. This design, boasting a frame with 1-inch, galvanized, steel tubing, will hold up to strong winds and even snow loads. A stove jack allows for use of a wood burning stove to keep you warm when temperatures drop. If using the tent without a stove, just zip the stove jack cover closed. A zippered storage bag and hefty, 12-inch, steel tent stakes are included. Requires two adults for setup. Limited lifetime warranty.

First canvas tent

Well I did it, I bought one just like you are thinking of doing. I have the 10x10 stove ready. I have taken it on its inaugural outing. It was clear and cold. 28degress was the low. 2 adults 3 children and a dog. Nice little stove for inside as well. Had to have been around 60degrees in the tent. Tshirt was comfortable. Setup alone for the first time was 35min. Takedown about the same. Everything you need is with it, it packed better when I broke it down than when it came factory. I do not have the 12x12 but I imagine that unless it is multiple adults camping with multiple adults helping setup and take down that would be too much for the quick weekend camp. For longer outings and more full grown people, the 12x12 with its cool add on accessories might be the way to go.

They Love The Veterans!

I bought the 10x10 because my friend had bought the larger 12x12 tent with the extension and I was very impressed with his set up. I liked the 10x10 for my needs and I can say, without a doubt, it is the best tent I have ever owned. They also gave me a bit of a discount because I am a Veteran, so that was super cool.

Home away from home.

Such a great tent. Wishing I would have taken picture of the set up inside. It was definitely a home away from home. Did need to upgrade the stakes, from the ones it came with to some heavy duty V shaped ones to keep them from spinning and making the poles fall when the winds picked up. Also wish it would have a way to seal the bottom of stove pipe hole cover to keep insects and such from getting in. When taking the tent down one of the bottom straps to secure the stakes for the base of the tent came off where it connects to the tent. Will take a picture and send when I get it set up again this spring. These tents do hold heat very well when running heaters in the cool nights or cold/winter days. During heavy rains never had a drop of water inside either

Great Wall Tent at a heck of a price

I’ve been using the lodge tent for a little over a year now and can’t express how happy I am with it. Easily comparable to wall tents 2 to 3 times the price. Has held up to high winds and some crazy winter storms that dropped 2 1/2 feet of snow without a hiccup. The light colored roof lets in a ton of natural light and the all the windows make it a great summer tent as well with plenty of ventilation.
I would not hesitate to buy one if you’re thinking about it.
