Tent arrived by courier and was well packaged and undamaged. Due to severe wet weather on Vancouver Island, I was unable to erect the tent until the week beginning 10 January 2021. Instructions for erecting the tent were easy to follow and worked eas
I will be putting my comments as to my opinion on this tent on reddit car camping. I should add I am 74 years of age and looking forward to the onset of Spring weather. Even with Covid my wife and I will travel and camp extensively in 2021.

10x14 Kodiak Canvas Tent
Absolutely the best tent I’ve ever owned. First trip was to Mt Charleston Nevada in November. First night was fine, then the angry winds and snow started. Although, there were some scary moments, the tent held firm. At one point though one of the loops came off the stake, and I had to go out and pound it down a bit more. Held up great after that with a lot of wind and snow coming down. Would recommend this to anyone. The canvas brought back many memories of my military days spending a lot of time in the huge canvas tents used by the military.

Perfect Tent for Older Campers
Tired of crawling in and out of our 2 person tent, we researched and found this tent and it is perfect. Walking upright, in and out of the tent is a major plus. There is plenty of room from two cots and camping gear. Fairly easy to set up. The only difficult part is setting the side poles, for those of us with arthritis. We are enjoying camping again.

This tent is awesome !
I have purchased another tent (Coleman) before purchasing this tent. After all I hesitated to buy an expensive tent from a beginning. I ceased to use the first tent after having purchased this tent. This is because it does not feel happy even if it camps any place other than this tent. There are tents in the United States that are similar in design to the Kodiak tent. I felt that the tent was not realistic because it was very expensive. The Kodiak tent is sewing by China, but quality control was very well. My company has a factory of China, but I know that it is a way of the management of the China factory not a product made in China being bad. It is not bad to purchase a good products at a low price. I knew that you should do a season before using it for the first time, but used it by camping without doing it. I was able to set it up in a shorter time than the normal tent which used several poles. The setup of the tent is very fun, but it is very splendid that time to play increased in families. It was the forecast of the passing shower, but it was a storm in early in the morning. However, this tent let a 4-hour thunderstorm go past without leaking. Because sewing was careful as for this, there was no approach of the rainwater. My family frowned that I had purchased an expensive tent, but I was blamed by a family why you purchased the first tent in the way back. I can promise to find happiness by purchasing Kodiak tent before spending useless money. I am very happy to buy this tent. I want to enjoy winter camp from now on.

Great Tent Better Customer Support
I first saw this tent when I was out camping with a buddy. he had bought one at cabelas, but after i took a tour - I was instantly hooked. I was impressed with the craftsmanship and the durability. All of a sudden my $250 northface tent lost most of its appeal. I had been camping with my girl, my 2 dogs (one is an airedale) and myself (a 5'10" 225 lb man) in a 2 person tent. it was time to upgrade. i bought this tent the following week. that being said - its heavy as hell, but if you're car camping it doesnt matter. my buddy said he had one regret - that he didnt buy the one with "extra windows." as is customary between me and my bro - i had to one up him and get the one with the windows. TOTALLY WORTH IT. **pro tip get yourself a proper hammer too to bang those thicc stakes into the ground. **second protip - get yourself a nice string of solar lights for the front awning - 20ft was enough for me to hit it up. i love this tent. more so - i love the customer service that has come with it. I had an issue and it was quickly, compassionately, and promptly resolved. i cant say enough about this company. they stand behind their products. i hope to acquire the sleeping bag somewhere down the line when im able to financially recover from investing in the tent. just kidding. but seriously i have a problem with buying gear, so i have to be a bit sneaky from the Mrs :) theres a reason this tent has all 5 star reviews - kodiak isnt cherry picking them - its just seriously that good. the only issue i had, but not worth deducting a star is that i didnt feel the ground tarp that was included was exactly the same size as the tent. i was not able to fully stretch out the canvas to meet the same loops on the tarp. so i had to do my best to lay the footprint and then stretch the tent to be fully taut. did i do something wrong? ***** Thanks Chris for your honest review. The ground tarp is slightly smaller than the tent by design. You we don't want water coming off the tent and hitting the ground tarp. The loops are not made to line up. Regarding the hammer we suggest a good rubber mallet. Happy Camping KC

Amazing customer service! Really love this tent!
We absolutely love this tent. It feels like we're cheating as it is more like glamping to us. The ease of putting it up, taking it down and wrapping it up cannot be stated enough. I'm 5'2" and I have put this tent up by myself, no problem. When we ran into an issue with the tent, because stuff happens, the Kodiak customer service was awesome. The team was quick to respond and to resolve our problem. I was thoroughly impressed and can now honestly recommend this tent and company to anyone! Get it, you won't regret it!
