Bonus Ground Tarp included With Tent Purchase!
Model 6013. Introducing our VX series featuring large triangle windows on both ends of the tent. The extra windows give you extra ventilation, extra openness and extra views. This feature is a must when camping in hot summer weather, allowing you to really open the tent up. When conditions change, simply zip the windows shut from the inside. The VX series is identical to our Deluxe version with the exception that instead of funnel-flow vents, you have large triangle windows on both ends. Stainless steel, wire stake loops give superior strength and durability. Available in 10x10 and 10x14 sizes.
Whether you’re headed to the campground with your family, or elk camp with your hunting buddies, this rugged, all-season tent is well suited for the occasion. Made with premium grade, Hydra-Shield™, 100% cotton duck canvas. The tight weave and silicone finish make the canvas watertight yet breathable, minimizing condensation and mugginess. Go ahead and touch the inside walls during a downpour—this canvas will not wick water. The Flex-Bow frame has tempered, spring steel rods that keep the tent taut, and robust 1-inch steel tube poles that will hold up to fierce winds. The floor is a seamless, heavy-duty, puncture resistant, 16 oz vinyl that keeps water out. Easy, one-person setup takes only a few minutes after you have it staked out. The steep walls and 6’6” high ceiling provide a roomy interior with stand-up, walk-around comfort. Large front and back doors with top rated #10 YKK zippers give convenient access. Six large windows provide openness and superb ventilation. Windows have no-see-um screen mesh, keeping out the smallest bugs. A customizable gear loft and organizer system offer plenty of places to stow gear. A large awning provides shade and a covered entry. The handy strap-and-cinch storage bag means no cramming a tent into an undersized bag. Stainless steel, wire stake loops give superior strength and durability. Hefty 12-inch steel stakes, and a poly ground tarp made to fit your 10x10 tent is included.

I've used this tent several times and it's flawless. Setting it up by myself is easy. The hardest part is hammering the stakes in the ground. The poles attach easy, and I don't have any problem with the last pole. I had a wind event once and the meaning of "bow-flex" became clear to me. The strong wind pushed hard on one corner and the tent bowed inward quite a bit. After the windstorm was over it flexed back into perfect shape! I also purchased the inside floor cover, which works great, I run it through the washing machine to clean it. The 6 windows are incredible, I highly recommend that model. The ventilation and the views with all those open really transforms the experience. I also got the wing vestibule, but I haven't used it. I got a grommet kit to add grommets in order for the vestibule to attach to my tent, but I decided against it mostly because of views. It would eliminate the view on that entrance. It's possible that I may use it someday if privacy trumps the view. I have a XXL cot on one side of the tent and a CGI Kitchen set up on the other. There is plenty of room to walk around and cook and whatnot. All of my camping gear fits into my sedan and I'm even dispersed camping on BLM and Forest Service land. If you are even remotely interested in this tent for your style of camping, I would say buy it. You can't pack it up wet, or even damp, but if you can get past that issue, you will love this tent. *****
I am 80 and set up the tent twice in my backyard. Love it! Can hardly wait for the first camping trip. It is heavy. My only concern is how long might it take to dry out after a rain. It might be a little to heavy for me to carry if damp. It goes up quicker than any large tent I have had. My wife agrees!
I have had this tent for 2 years now, used it over a dozen times and I feel that I can give an honest review. In both cold and warm weather this is by far the best tent I have ever used. Outstanding quality and strength. It has withstood two “extreme” storms with wind and rain and never leaked or showed any signs of damage. The only challenging part I have encountered is getting the last pole in the bottom clip when setting it up by yourself. I’m not sure how to avoid the difficulty, but perhaps an engineer at Kodiak could tackle this? I still give it 5 stars, and appreciate the simple design. I am a believer in the quality of Kodiak products and have since added the Z top sleeping bag and booster quilt to my (highly recommend these as well). Overall I highly recommend this tent and truly believe it will be the last tent I’ll ever buy.
Would be helpful to include instructions on mounting on a tent platform. Thanks. Love it!
I have not camped in it yet but can say setting it up by myself is surprisingly easy and the tent is of really high quality. No doubt this will work great in all conditions over a long time.
This tent has all the bells and whistles. The air flow on all 4 sides is so worth it. Grateful the groundsheet was included. Set it up in the backyard to check all the seams and it’s great. We have the 10x14 as well but the head space is basically the same. Plan on monthly campouts with this thanks to scouting with BSA. This company is in my home state so I got it in 2 days!
I cannot recommend this tent enough. It's easy to move around in, very fast to set up (~15 minutes if you have soft earth). It's been amazing during rain storms. One thing I will note is I didn't realize tents could get condensation inside them, and this tent is so well insulated that it will (in humid weather). It's held up amazing during several rainstorms.
With one person set up was good only problem a little hard to get up right poles in holders at bottom of tent with one person but all in all I would highly recommend
Very happy with the tent
