The tent is top quality. It is very well made and I would purchase it again. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it IS NOT A FREESTANDING TENT. I don't remember seeing this before I bought it but i could be wrong. I spent a week in it on a Maine moose hunt and it worked perfectly. I am skeptical about being able to use it once the ground freezes since it has to be staked down. I'm thinking about making some kind of frame from PVC pipe to go around the inside perimeter floor to see if I can eliminate always staking down.....not sure if it'll work. ___ Thanks for your honest review. Just pound those stake into frozen ground with a big hammer. We do it all the time. If you have snow make a dead-man anchor. Google it if you need to. Don't recommend the PVC frame. KC
We love our new canvas tent-we were looking for something that we could use for years, that would work for 3-seasons. Just last weekend we used it up in the mountains, with snow on the ground, and stayed toasty warm. It's easiest to put up with two-people, and takes a little to get used to, but then isn't hard. The instructions are super simple and easy to understand. Would 100% recommend this tent to others.
Great Product. Set it up to cure it. Left it up for 6 days. During that time there were windy New Mexico days with gusts up to 40 miles an hour. Camped last weekend, more wind gusts. Tent held up great. The NM wind has always been my only concern. Now, I wish I would have bought this years ago.
Bought this for camping with the scouts. I am too old to be crawling around in a dome tent and wanted one I can stand up and walk around in. At our first camping trip with it all the other parents came over to see the Kodiak because it was, in my opinion, the best tent there, hands down. Sets up and takes down really easy.
In Wyoming’s Sweetwater River Range, when other pioneer trekkers nylon dome tents were blowing down and away across the sagebrush in 40 mph winds (gusting to +60 mph) our Kodiak Canvas 10x10 deluxe stood rigid and sound. Bar none, these tents are the most secure shelters made. Definitely a lifetime durable canvas good. I’ll never buy another tent again that isn’t a Kodiak Canvas. I recommend these to all my friends and family. They’re pretty much bomb proof.
I have set the tent up once in my backyard. I will be using it for the log weekend hunting trip , everything seems to be good on the tent so far
After my tent arrived on time I took it into the mountains for 5 days. On the 3rd night out a storm with 30 mph winds and 3 inches of rain lasting about 20 hours hit. The tent was great. Dry and only the entry walls even moved in the winds. The ability to vent in any number of ways, the light transfer through the roof panel, the quality of the zippers, ties, and accessories as well as the thought that went into the engineering is amazing. I am so glad that I found the Kodiak Flex-Bow.
This is so much easier to set up than I expected! I'm a 62 year old woman, 5'3", with one arthritic shoulder and the other shoulder still recovering from replacement surgery four months ago. After watching an excellent YouTube video once, I was able to put this up for the first time, all by myself, in less than 25 minutes!
Excellent tent well constructed easy to set up sturdy we just love it
