This is such a nice tent just set it up and seasoned the canvas the set up is very easy it’s so much bigger inside than I thought going to make a great base camp thank you Kodiak you rock
Great quality and easy to set up. Storage is perfect as well
just arrived today. opened the box, and had it standing in half hour. what took so long was the sliding brace fell between the tailgate and i couldnt fiigure out what to do. my fault. wonderful tent. cant wait for hunting season.
I bought this tent after an insane amount of research on the best tent for burning man. I needed something with minimal mesh, that could withstand strong winds and harsh conditions, that I could stand in, that could hold all my supplies, and that wouldn't heat up like a coffin in the desert sun. I bought this tent in 2009 and it's gone to Burning Man every year since. I would highly recommend this indestructible and easy-to-pitch tent to every Burner (and every person who goes car camping as well).
My original plan was to get a popup camper for my motorcycle but that was going to be way to expensive so I opted for a good tent. After reading the reviews, yours was the best of the lot, so I got a 10x10 knowing I was going to be living in it for a year or longer. For those considering one of these tents, here are the pluses. They are nicely packaged. Once you set it up a couple of times, it is easy. I'm a 67 y/o woman and I put mine up and take it down on my own, so yes, one person can set it up. If you aren't going to use the awning, roll it up before you set the tent up to make it easy. I have used a cot, a table and folding lawn chair on the inside. The floor held up until one of the spots had sharp rock which poked a hole in the floor through a tarp I had under it. It was easily fixed with Gorilla tape and hasn't leaked since. I've had no leaks in the tent. I heats well with a small electric heater. Considering I've been living in it, it is great for one or two people with plenty of room. I has held up under high winds, heavy rain and snow. The negative....it is a tent which means you have no extras with it. Also, don't try to set it up in the rain....ever!!!! If you do manage to get it up, be prepared to dip the water out of the inside as you do have to have the doors open to set it up. Also, it will take two people as the canvas get extremely heavy when wet. The weight can be a negative along with the size, but I managed to work with it so I was able to get it in my trailer so it was balanced. I honestly can't say enough good about this product. The only other problem I had was the attachments holding the poles together broke on all but one pole and my carrying bags for the stakes and poles developed holes so I need to replace them. The replacements are reasonably priced, so no big deal. Like I said before, I've essentially lived in this tent for a year and it has held up when I have seen others who have had major problems with wind, heating and leaking. I love my Kodiak and I know I'll have a few more years of use out of the one I have.
Purchased this tent for a camping trip in Alaska. Tent is very sturdy and easy to assemble. It rained several days and the water just ran off. I would highly recommend this tent.
This tent works perfect for spring time bear hunt, steelhead fishing, camping. We added a wood stove jack. Tent us light enough to pack on the side by side. Easy set up! Highly recommended!
I have not had a chance to use the tent but I did set it up to check it out. It is well made and it went up easily and surprisingly fast. The design is really good and I am surprised that it is not being done by more manufacturers. It looks well made and seems like it will last a long time.
